Did this guy like me and I was too dumb to realize or was he getting another message across?

Okay this happened a while ago but I just started thinking about it.It was around homecoming and this guy named Ben told me to come here.He said "how do you feel about homecoming,ya or nay" and I said alright I guess and he said okay and don't tell my friend.Now my friend is named Jessica and they're best friends so I had no idea was he referring to me or to her bc he had admitted he had feelings for her sometime.But idk,what do you guys think.
