how do I tell him/advice

When my boyfriend goes down on me it's great and all but sometimes he goes to hard to the point where it doesn't feel good I want to tell him to like be careful the clit is really sensitive I just don't want to make him feel like he's doing a bad job or reck his confidence .. Any advice on how I can like lowkey tell him to slow down when he does it and be gentle??
