The other night my cousin took an Uber with a friend and the guy went off the route and took them on the interstate. They ended up in a dark area of town. They managed to escape and run to a store. He drove off.

This happened to me with Lyft. My friend and I literally almost got kidnapped until I pointed out we were on the complete opposite side of town. Absolutely horrifying.
My tip: on the uber and lyft app there's a way where someone can track your ride to make sure you're going the right way, have a friend or family member watch your ride.

I'm so scared to Uber. I don't think id ever get in one without a guy, even though I carry a taser haha I've literally had nightmares about Uber and my friends think I'm crazy!

I cant understand how uber works! My bf is a taxi driver and had to pass driving tests, get security cleared, licences etc. It seems uber drivers can be anyone! Is this true? It doesn't seem safe at all!
