Our little girl has arrived

Henriette
Our little girl has arrived!! #4 and the last for our family. I went in to be induced on 2/5 @ 8:30pm. Was started on Cervidil at 10:30 since I was only 2cm and 60% effaced. Cervidil is supposed to stay in for 12 hours, but by 3:30 it had causex contractions every 1 minute. I was given an intravenous pain med that made me all fuzzy and loopy and it helped me manage the pain for just a bit. Got the epidural not too long after that after I waz dilated to a 5. The plan was to remove the Cervidil at 9'ish, break my water and start Pitocin. I made it to 7 (6cm) after the doc tried to break my water, but only managed to tear it a bit, so during contractions it came out in bouts. After laying through contractions that caused enough pressure to have to breath through, my nurse was debating not starting Pitocin. Since they thought I was just 6cm and baby was high (postterior) they started Pit literally for 2 minutes. I felt pressure and told her it feels like my body is pushing. She checked and I was fully dilated and ready. This was 8am somewhere. They called the doc and he said to do a few practice pushes and call him. I pushed through a half a contractiion and they yelled for me to stop. She was crowning. I had to "blow out the candle" (meaning no pushing) through the next 3 contractions as my doc ran over. He sat down, said: "ok, push with the next contraction... wait, stop, her head is out, let me suction". "Okay, now slowly just breath the rest of her out." Done! So basically a super fast labor that they tried to stretch out :) She latched on as soon as we got sts contact and has been eating since. She sleeps for 2 to 4 hour stretches in between and already has had 2 meconium poops. If our teatz come back clear, we'll go home to be with our family.
