Am i being unreasonable?

Hey ladies,

​So im feelig a bit weird and i didnt kno where else to vent and discuss this. I literally just found out that my sister-in-law is expecting her 3rd child. First off, she wasnt the one to tell me herself..i found out. I am also pregnant with my first child and when i found out that i was pregnant, my husband and i called her the very next day to tell her (shes my husbands sister). Im feeling kinda left out cuz no one told me..i dont even kno if he knos his sisters pregnant. Its jst that i am very close with my in-laws and hearin this information from a third source is really bugging me. I consider her a sister so i thought she wudve told me such important news.

​Second, im feeling a bit jealous. I dont kno if its my crazy hormones or me just being weird. This is my first child...and hers will be born a few months after mine. So will that steal all the attention away from my baby? I know its horrible to feel this way.. Bt i cnt help it..i cnt even share this with my husband. Its really bugging me :(
​Am i being unreasonable? I want my baby to be given importance..

​Im just really iffed about the fact that she didnt tell me and also the possibility that her new baby will steal attention away from my baby..

She might have only told one or two people and wanted to wait til she reached a certain point to tell everyone else and make sure the baby is ok. I know my sister told my family member and she told everyone and my sis was really upset because she wanted to tell everyone but was waiting for the 16 week mark.

Nope I know exactly how you feel, I found out 2 out of 3 of my OWN sisters were pregnant when they made a facebook status, excuse my language but I was pissed... It's normal, and my other sister (the only one who told me about both her babies) is due April 19th and I'm due July 13th. I told her a baby girls name that I liked which was Rosa-Lee and she messaged me the next day and told me that she was naming her baby Rosalie because her husband automatically said that while talking to her stomach I was heartbroken, and cried...

I'll just say that even though we told our family members not to tell anyone about our pregnancy until after the 1 st trimester, someone still did. It made me so mad. This is my pregnancy, not yours. Anyways, is there any chance she wasn't telling everyone yet, but someone spilled the beans anyways? Also, I think it's normal to be a little worried about having a baby so close to your SIL, but I'm sure your baby will get lots of love. Good luck.

My sister is 7 weeks ahead of me with her first child, im expecting number 4. We are loving being pregnant together and as far as i know she doesnt think im stealing her limelight. . Ill be sad when she gives birth in the next week or two, its been great having somebody to share all this with. You should embrace the situation

You are being unreasonable! She will tell you or would have when the time is right! Both babies will have equal attention! Why are you being jealous when you should be happy?

I'm not sure how far along your SIL is, but if she's still in the first trimester, maybe she only wanted to tell her parents for now? I am 5 weeks and don't want to tell them untill 7-8 weeks when I have my first apt. Just a thought, but it may not even be in the right ball park.

With the attention, you will hopefully have tons of attention from your side and just think of the play dates you can have to make it easier for you both, so in a way it could be a blessing. Try thinking of it in a positive way. :)

The worst part is i cant discuss it with my husband..and i feel left out of his family..even though i truly consider them to be like my own family. All these mixed emotions are really messing with my head :(

​My sil is actually quite nice and is super xcited abt being an aunt for the first time (of my husbands siblings shes the only one with kids)! His family is all super excited..im maybe being paranoid that once my baby is born and the novelty of a 'new baby' wears off for them there will be another baby to give all the attention to. But its my first, so am i really wrong in feeling this way? I think te main thing thats bothering me is that she hasnt told me herself. From wht ive herd shes not too thrilled abt the pregnancy as it was unexpected and shes had complicated pregnancies and births previously..to the point whrere her doctor advised her not to get pregnant again. So i dnt really kno how to feel.

Sorry that posted before it's finished. 
any time someone brings up my pregnancy she just starts talking about how she is going to have another one. I really just wanted to have this special time and wanted her to be there for me like I was for her but I guess that's too much to ask. It totally bums me out. Just try to distance yourself and enjoy your time! I really hope that you and baby get the attention you deserve!
