Do you let your 6-7 month old "cry it out"?

I tried it in too weak. She eventually started sleeping better on her own. I don't think it's for everyone.

My LO will whine, and usually when she does that she'll fall back asleep but if she gets hysterical then I get her

I will let her try to sooth herself back to sleep for a few minutes but if she starts crying then it's for a reason. I've gotten pretty lucky with sleep, usually only wakes if it's time to eat and she will go right back to sleep unless it's daylight out but other than that she will sleep close to 12 hours every night, naps are a whole different story.. She usually only sleeps one or two 15-30 min naps a day and I have to rock her for those but I enjoy it ☺ she's already 7 Months Old

We are weak. Sometimes she'll talk herself to sleep but mom can't handle crying.

I'm not necessarily opposed to the CIO method if done properly, but it's not really something I do myself. My daughter is a fairly good sleeper and usually sleeps through the night. If she does cry I go to her because I know she needs something. She will usually nurse a bit and go right back to sleep until morning.

Two nights of CIOafter months of waking every other hr...since then 11 hr nights. It's nice that I sleep but more importantly my LOgets the rest she needs!

I'm so weak lol it breaks my heart but we've gotten some good results so far. I started with 4 mins and then would go in calm her down and do it again. Then I went to 10 mins and now I'm at 15. She hardly ever gets past 10 mins before she's crashed out lol but occasionally she'll go 15 and then silence.

I do my best to let her "fuss it out". If there is some space between the whines, and they don't sound serious then I give her a few minutes. If they wind up then I usually get her, but many times she'll accept it and pass out again. The only hard part is that she is still with us in our room, so listening to her fuss for ten minutes in the middle of the night is a bit painful 😖

We started letting her cry when she was a little over five months. It sucks sometimes. With that said, she sleeps so much better if she puts herself to sleep. She tends to wake up less, and her sleeping patterns are more consistent. I only let her cry for ten-fifteen minutes when I put her to bed, though. If it goes longer than that, I go get her, because usually it's because she's hungry or wants to be changed. It's been harder since we moved, because we can hear her so much more intensely. I'm trying to prep her to be independent in some ways, though, as I think she will only be between 15-18 months by the time we have our next baby.

I just had to do this for naps yesterday, he chucked a tantrum because I had the audacity to want him to sleep in his crib 😂😂 it was hard to hear but I was right there if he became hysterical and I'd given in to him for the few days prior so I tried a little tough love so he wouldn't get used to napping/sleeping in our bed all the time.
