We've been told by a couple people to put a big glob of Vaseline or destin or whatever down on her butt so that when she poops we can just wipe away the cream and not rub on her skin. How the hell does that work? She poops and it immediately  sticks to her butt, the layer of Vaseline doesn't seem to accomplish anything esp w the couple really raw areas we are trying to heal. We can't just leave the poop on her butt cheeks/crack! But she cries and it makes me cry and I feel terrible we have to wipe/ pat these raw areas and are probably disrupting new skin forming. We try to let her be bare butt on a puppy pad during the day and just got an rx for nystatin cream. We are going to do bare butt w just the rx cream tomorrow.
