These are my real nails. People keep telling me that I can't keep them when I go into labor. Is this true?

I don't see them being a problem while you're in labor, just be really careful after the baby is born. It's extremely easy to scratch them by accident, & it's not unlikely that you'll get poop stuck under them as well!

Your going to have problems with diaper changes and baby care with super long nails and with scratchy diamond rings on ( plus poo can get in the cracks of the ring) but i dont see a ptoblem for the actual birth unless you wanted to be the one to catch baby

They put a thing on ur finger, that's why. U can keep 9 of them,  but I'm pretty sure one -the index finger usually will need to get cut short enough for their equipment to go on it

I had extremely long nails that were mine for the birth of both my kids and after the fact. Never had any issues.

If they are real then not much they can say besides trim your pointer finger

The only way I could see this being an issue is with the pulse oximeter. But I'm sure they have another way to measure the O2 levels.
