How many people paid for their baby showers ?

Now my mom's not around because I took custody of my 6 year old and 14 year old sister's. And my dad is deceased . (Actually most of my family is) so who I have left is my aunt and my boyfriend's family. I NEVER asked for anyone to throw me a baby shower and because it's my hubby's parents first grand child they took it upon their selves to throw me a baby shower . She is inviting about 90 people herself alone . I have about 20 if that coming . First she told me I can't bring my 6 year old sister , but I don't have a babysitter . Then everyone kept telling me that she needed help with the baby shower . So be being nice and all because she's doing it for me offered to go in on the hall she is renting . May I add she's doing a diaper party and a baby shower together ! Which I told her I didn't want. Well anyways she told me to save like 1500 for the baby shower and i told her I couldn't afford that I have bills to pay and a household of 4 people 5 including my unborn child . Now she makes 4000 every two weeks and her husband makes 2000 every week. Plus they have 4 grown daughters still living at home doesn't have to pay any bills , that have credit cards and really good jobs . I'm a prep cook . Now after I told her I couldn't afford that she said ohkay I will come up with a price that everyone can afford . Not thinking it was going to be a ridiculous amount in a short amount of time . Well she told me $250 . When she's paying 200 her husband is paying 150 and the 4 girls are paying 50 . How the hell does that work out where I have to pay more than anyone else . Now I realize it's not cheap but for 1. I didn't ask her to throw it . 2. I offered to help not pay the most and when I brought it up that it's to much money and I cant afford it AGAIN she said well if you can pay it then we're not having it . >:[ . So I agreed to pay. But now here's the kicker .... Half of these people I DONT EVEN KNOW! So I'm payingfor a bar that I can't even drink it for a bunch of people I don't even know . So I'm going to be so awkward at my own baby shower . I'm not a type of person who accepts gifts happily . Like yeah I'm happy but it's weird when I get gifts because I'm not used to it . I'm used to giving not receiving . Does any one else feels my pain ? . And also my aunt is throwing me one separately because it took my hubby's mom up untill last week to create a registry after me waiting 3 months for us to go. So my aunt said I'll take you because people didn't want to go out last minute to get gifts for the shower . So we went and I told my hubby's mom and she got all pissed because it's something we were "supposed" to do . And went on with how she realizes where she stands she's not my real mom so she's done . Blah blah blah . It just pisses me off to know that I'm being pulled in every fucking direction . My aunt wants to be a part of it because she did take a motherly role through all of this with my mom not around at all . But my hubby's mom also did too. I don't know what to do anymore . My stress levels for this are through the roof !!! . Sorry for the long post but I need someone else's advice because I don't have anyone to talk to and my hubby won't stick up for me to his parents. He says I need to grow balls it's not his baby shower. Like yes it is .. it's not there for you to go get fucking plastered ! Ugh !!!! Help .
