Very bad lower stomach pain

AF is due tomorrow (please don't come) and last night I had very bad lower stomach pains. I was curled in a ball in bed because that was the only thing that seemed to help, a little anyways. I rarely get cramps so it kinda hit me out of no where. I can still feel it slightly this morning, but barely. What could this be caused by ? Or has anyone else experienced this ?
