How did the pill affect you?

Hey ladies, I'm considering going on the pill. I would be taking the one without estrogen (mini pill I think) because of my migraines. I'm curious as to how it affected other people - long term too. Did you gain weight? Did you have trouble with fertility later on in life? Did your acne clear up?

It'll affect everyone differently so don't be too phased about the negative comments. 
It affected me positively. In the beginning the side effects are always the worst but they do go away and you shouldn't change or stop the pill in the first 3 months because you are having minor effects. 
You shouldn't worry.
Pills don't cause infertility.
They don't cause weight gain (and before anyone attacks me, you don't gain weight, period. They only reason you could have is due to your raise in appetite or water retention.)
They help acne immensely. 
Try it out for 3-6 months and decide whether you like it or not.

I have had bad and good results from pills . You just have to find the one that works best for you . Trial and error . The ones I use now (trinessa) have been great . Clear skin and lighter period . Also my periods are regular now . Before I had really acne prone skin and my periods were heavy ,irregular and painful.

My acne cleared up and my periods got a lot lighter and more manageable. But I also felt irritable all the time and had a super low sex drive.

Middle of first week in pack no bleeding, started bleeding in the middle of the 2nd week till the first week of new pack, like clock work started pill July-dec, until I had sex 1 time without a condom and then my normal bleed didn't show up freaked me out.

The hormones made me completely crazy. It was like I was on an emotional roller coaster every day. I talked to my GYN about it and I switched to the implant with its low grade constant hormone release and I'm so much better off.

I was on the mini-pill (norethindrone) for about three months. After a month, I started bleeding literally every other week. Other than that, it did it's job, but I swear to god I had to never be without a tampon and to the point where I literally used make up bags to make "emergency kits".

I'm on the depo now, haven't bled in a month, and no weight gain to my knowledge even with an increased appetite but that could just be regular exercise.

...I do still keep a kit in my bag though just in case.

Mini pill made me abysmally depressed to the end, and for some reason I was stuck with a yeast infection that failed to clear up until I was off of that pill.

I got hairy sideburns 😩 and my face got so sensitive I couldn't put anything on it! It was horrible... I stopped using it and my sideburns went back to normal and so did my face 😊👍🏼
