Friends or More Than Friends?

The dating/talking stage (whichever you prefer to call it) is so complicated at times. You spend your time getting to know someone before "making it official" and sometimes it doesn't work out.

For those of you who are in a relationship:

How long were you and your SO in the dating/talking stage before making it official and being in a relationship? A few months? A few weeks? More than a year?

It's completely different for everyone.

My fiancé, live of my life and father of my children met and "talked" for 2 years before making it official. But in our situation he was going to school and he flat out told me that he didn't want a relationship while finishing school, didn't want a distraction. Now, he was upfront and honest with me and I chose to stay and wait it out. But our non-relationship was more of a relationship but without the title and very little family function appearances. But I knew it was right for me and wanted to wait it out. After he finished school we still wanted to be together and moved across the country try together. Only then we officially became a couple and now 5 years after meeting him we have a 2.5 year old, one on the way, a house and a beautiful life together. We will be getting married after this baby comes out!

But just to show you that doesn't matter what other people do, you do what feels right for your relationship and the two of you.

Well we randomly met and chatted a few times from March to July. We went to a dog show event one day as friends and really hit it off. 6.5 years later we are married and have a 3 month old.  My boys are my life!

3 days, lol. But we just Knew through and through we wanted to be more. Marriage, 3 kids and 10 years later and we're still together.

It's different for everyone. My bf and I met and talked/ texted two weeks straight. Two weeks later we met up, and that day we made it official. When you know you know. It shouldn't take someone a year to know whether they want a relationship with you or not.

Started taking in july 2014 met up in September, got together September, been together 2 years and 5 months we have a 5 month old son and expecting our second baby in September. :)
