How many blastocysts?

Sarah
Hey ladies! My husband and I recently watched an introductory to IVF video that our clinic sent us. In the video, a typical response to egg retrieval and fertilization is discussed. The video said that most egg retrievals average around 15 follicles. Of those 15, an average of 10 mature. Of those 10, an average of 7 become embryos. From there, an average of 2 become blastocysts and may potentially make a baby. This was rather shocking news to us! TWO? JUST TWO!?!?!?! We know that everyone is different, but I am just curious, how old were you when you had the egg retrieval and how many blastocysts did the retrieval yield in one cycle? Thank you for your input!
