Not sure how to stop being pregnant. I know that may not make much sense, but how do you go from pregnant one day and not the next without bringing home a baby? My husband and I found out we were pregnant on Jan 8. It was a complete surprise, we have a 10 month old! I was scared and it took me a while to get used to the fact that I'd have 2 little babes. I had lots of reservations about being able to be there equally 100% for 2 babies. But in a few short days I was getting more excited for the adventure! When I found out I was pregnant with my first baby I was immediately a mom, that was my baby. This time was no different. I had 2 babies now. Our first Ob appt was scheduled for Feb 9. Then the 4 worst words of my life "there's not a heartbeat". I had a D&C Feb 10. I lost a baby. My body wasn't even getting rid of it, I was still trying to grow this tiny life. My first pregnancy was textbook. Everything was so effortless. I never imagined this would happen. I wanted that baby.
