Postpartum check up?

Have any of you ladies tried to find someone other than your delivering doctor to do your pp check? I really need mine done before I go back to work, but I absolutely do not trust my doctor anymore and every office I call wants me to have her do my checkup.

Maybe if you tell the new doctor your insurance changed and your original OB doesn't take the new insurance they'll be more likely to see you.  Or maybe see if your primary care doctor will do it.
