Natural Cycles?! Birth control app!!

Question

Have any of you heard of or have the birth control app called natural cycles, its suppose to predict your fertile and infertile days using a basal body temp thermometer. I am really eager to purchase it, should I? Its $65/year and it includes the thermometer which they ship to you for free.

My sister got pregnant on this "method" even though she was typically like clockwork on ovulation. One month it was outside the window and bam! This is just a "modern" version of the rhythm method and it's far from reliable.

Honestly those who knock it actually haven't taken the time read the clinical studies or look up the actual point of difference with the app. It's not just rhythm method or regular BBT. It has a patented and tested technology that creates an algorithm for you. The app NOT THE METHOD is just as effective as the pill. Medical device certifications/FDA approvals aren't handed out like candy. You have to undergo years of testing more often than not. That alone shows it has legitimacy.

Sorry I'm a tech and science nerd to the max.

Sounds like a ripoff to me. Not hard to do it yourself with a bbt thermometer from Walmart which costs less than 10 bucks.
