Can I eat my steak medium while pregnant?

I had my steaks rare my entire pregnancy. Bacteria on steak is on the outside so searing the outside is enough to kill everything off. When you grind the meat the bacteria gets mixed throughout so burgers and such need to be cooked through

My doctor told me medium is fine, just not rare or medium rare. Needless to say I was super bummed.... love my steaks bloody 😞

My doctor said as long as it is cooked to 145° for steak. Other meats have to be cooked all the way. He also said moderation is key. So if you eat steak every week, you probably want to do well done. If it is a one time thing you could do medium.
