What would you do?

I'm pregnant with the first grandchild on my husbands side, so naturally everyone is very excited. My mother in law and my sister in law have offered to go half on the nursery bedroom set (crib, changing table, bedding and decor) as a gift for the baby. My only issue is, my mother in law is very picky and wants to be the one to have the choice in which set we get. Let me just clarify, her and I do not have the same taste at all. Every time I send her sets I like, "ew no, I don't like that" and whenever I tell her I don't like something she's picked out, she throws a fit. (My sister in law could care less and just wants to make us all happy)
Like I understand they are going to be the ones paying for it but I want to at least like the furniture my child is going to be using for the next few years. She doesn't even live in the same state as us so I'll be the only one who actually sees it on a daily basis. I'm honestly considering just buying it ourselves since we have the money to do so but I don't want to cause any issues.
What should I do?
Oh and to clarify, my husband has stepped in to help but she doesn't seem to listen to anyone. She's very opinionated.
