Norethisterone tablets

Has anyone ever tried norethisterone tablets to delay their period due to them having something coming up and knowing they would have painful periods / bleeding?

- looking to find out if they work and if they're good? I get extremely painful and quite heavy periods and I have an event coming up, and I think these would be very useful to delay my period for possibly one day.
