what are the symptoms of miscarriage at four weeks?

i think i had a miscarriage? my period was a week late and i normally am very light now i'm on bc, but i had cramps like someone stabbed me and clotting worse than i've ever had it... i missed two pills my first week and thought i was fine but now i feel like i just had a miscarriage? am i being paranoid?
