When did you or do you plan to start brushing your baby's teeth using a toothbrush and toothpaste?

We've been brushing our boys teeth since he got the first tooth at 4.5 months old. Now at 10 months (11 on the 19th) he's got 8 (and it seems like he has his molars on the way). What we do is brush them for him first and then let him do it himself (which is really just chewing on it). That way we know they're clean but he can get used to it on his own terms too. We use fluoride free toothpaste in case he swallows it. He also just had his first dentist appointment and the dentist said his teeth are doing great!

Wiped gums with a cloth or my finger when he was tiny. Started using toothbrush/paste around 6 months to start getting him used to it, before he even had teeth haha

Always! Ever since he was born I use a clean wet cloth to clean his gums and later on a small brush for his teeth. SO IMPORTANT.

We used a soft baby wash cloth to wipe her gums every night & morning before she had teeth. The moment her first tooth erupted we bought an infant tooth brush & started using Jack N' Jill toothpaste. She absolutely loves it!

We "brush" our teeth every morning. No toothpaste but he essentially chews on the toothbrush while I am brushing my teeth. It's mainly to get him used to it. He only has two teeth.

My son's teeth didn't come in until he was about eight months old, but I gave him a toothbrush to play with since he was six months to get him used to it. As soon as they broke skin, I began brushing them. He loves it.
