Water wipes or cotton wool?!! Help!!

Question

Ladies... can you use water wipes instead of cotton wool and warm water for a newborn?

I am really confused as what I should be prepping! Some people say, they didn't bother with cotton wool as wouldn't be using it at home.

What are you planning on using? Please help!

I would have a look at some DIY wipes which only have a couple of ingredients. I found one that is just coconut oil, hot water (you leave the wipes overnight to soak so the water is just to melt the coconut oil) and a small amount of baby wash of your choosing. There's a whole bunch of videos on youtube on how to make your own wipes. Saves money and you know exactly what is in them.

I got a pack of water wipes to use after we bring him home. Figured it'd be best with him getting circumcised. But we'll probably switch to regular wipes after.

Water wipes are twice as expensive as all the other brands, which breaks my heart. I don't understand why something with a bunch of chemicals in it is cheaper than something with nothing in it! I decided to go with babyganics wipes, less chemicals and the price is comparable to the "cheap" wipes.
