Sex after stitches.

While delivering my daughter they needed to cut me, so I got stitches he's. I got the ok to have sex again from my doctor almost 3 weeks ago but I was still nervous about doing the deed again because I've read that it usually hurts for the first time. We'll we tried to have sex and I felt horrible and told him he had to stop. I felt like my skin was ripping. I'm upset about it. Any suggestions to make sex feel good again?
