can we get in trouble?
So I need opinions. This isn't TTC related.
We got roommates in August that were not on our lease (yes the landlord knew). Then on October 31st they went crazy and started talking mad shit behind our backs and hitting our dogs. So I kicked them out. They left a bunch of stuff in the garage that we didn't know about until after they left. I messaged and asked them about it, they said if it was a problem we could throw everything out with the exception on a rice maker and two blankets. Well after 30 days was up, we threw all of their stuff away like they said we could. Well now they are saying that they will be here in Al next week from TX to come get their stuff. Well we don't have their stuff nor did they ever send us the money to ship them their ricemaker or their blankets. All the left was a lot of nasty clothes and the rice maker and blankets. In the boxes that they had I went threw them to make sure they weren't taking anything of ours, more than half the stuff in the boxes were mine and my husbands thinngs thay we thought had gone missing. So I guess what I'm wondering is legally do they have a leg to stand on? I've always been told that after 30 days on your property whatever was left becomes yours.
PLEASE NO NEGATIVE COMMENTS. JUST NEEDING ADVICE.
I've uploaded the conversation that we had about their stuff being in my garage. They told us we could throw everything out except the rice maker and the blankets. Now they are saying they'll be here next week and all of their stuff needs to be here.
