Our Baby Girl Is Here!!

Finally able to post my birth story! This is Lyra Cynthia Sarah Viveiros. Born February 13 2017 at 4:51pm 9lbs 14ounces 21.5inches long. She was 3 days late. 

Sunday morning I woke up at 5am to use the bathroom felt pain like contractions in my stomach but were not consistent or strong enough. By 2pm my husband and I started timing the contractions they were becoming very aggressive. By 6pm they were becoming unbearable. I made the call at 7:30 to want to go to the hospital we arrived before 8pm with my parents and I was 5cm dilated so they put me in a room. I had got my epidural around 11pm Sunday but it wore off by 4am Monday. Received another epidural by 5am. At this rate I was still dilating and up to 6 1/2cm. The drs came in at 7am and broke my water an hour later I was 7cm. Now they had put a catheter in. After that I could feel the pressure of our daughter pushing down on my uterus and the pressure of the catheter fighting one another and had sharp shooting pains up my vagina. I was in that pain for hours screaming and crying. By 1:30pm my dr came and told me I would be going in for a c section considering I had stopped dilating. By 3 I could no longer take the pain they injected a small amount of a sleeping drug into my body so I could relax. By 4 I was being prepped for and in the surgery room. My husband had came in to be with me. About 10 minutes in everything that they told me I wouldn't feel I felt. So I was then heavily sedated with 3 major drugs to get me to sleep thru the surgery. After 26 1/2 hours of labor and the horrible pain that I had felt our daughter was born. I would never wish the pain I felt on anyone but without question I would do it for her in a heartbeat 💖
