Natural birth or C section??

Pros & Cons. Your experience. Or if you are first time Mama to be like me, how do you plan to deliver your precious ones?

Vaginal births are easier on the body with a much shorter healing time. A c-section is major abdomenal surgery and should only be performed when absolutely needed. The healing time is longer, it's way harder on the body. Why would you choose that?

I've had 2 vaginal births  (inductions) one with severe tearing and my 3rd was a c section. The c section recovery was hell for me. Like horrible in comparison even to the vaginal tearing. Yes labor is a pain in the ass but there's an epidural for that, you'll basically have to have a spinal which is like a more severe epidural for a c section. But even without the epi, I'd rather have a few hours of labor than weeks of recovery from the c section. I'm 6m pp and still sore where my incision was. And because I had a vaginal birth to compare it to, I knew how bad the c section recovery really was. I'm thankful that my c section kept me and baby safe but otherwise I would never have chosen it.

Considering my female relatives including my mom and grandmother had serious complications and almost died I'll be going with a c-section.

I've had both.. i had a few complications from my ceserean 11 years ago; i needed a blood transfusion and my ceserean got infected 3 days after i went home from the hospital and had to be admitted in which i stayed for 3 more days trying to recover. So when I got pregnant with my 2nd, i really wanted to try for a vbac and successfully did on 1/12. Let me tell you, i wish i would've had my first baby vaginally.. I've had 0 complications, the healing process was no biggie compared to a c-section that hurt like a mf! lol.. The entire experience of having a vbac is no comparison, literally. I was alert this time around and was able to do skin to skin with my baby,  and when i was on the operating table 11 yrs ago i remember trying to stay awake long enough to see my baby.. It sucked, period. If you can have you're baby naturally, coming from a mommy that's literally experienced both c-section and vaginally , I'd say go for it 😉

I would choose vaginal over c section anytime. However, unfortunately for me, I have no choice and no dr will allow me to do a vbac in my area. So I have to have a c section again. My first was vaginal and it was a breeze. My second was c section and it was horrific. Hopefully this time being prepared will make it easy. But I would totally suggest vaginal.

My first labour was awful , 26 hours ending in an emergency c section. I really didn't find the recovery too hard . I've been giving a choice this time around and I chose another section . Do what you feel is right for you
