10 weeks, 2 dr visits and still haven't heard heartbeat 😢
My last pregnancy was amazing. I had the best doctors and the best care I could have imagined. I had ultrasounds at every visit and got to hear the heartbeat every time. They even gave me bags of free stuff at every visit to help welcome my little one. I would go back to her, but I've moved 1000 miles away.
So I started with my first visit at 6 weeks with my obgyn practice that I've been with for the last 5 years, and quickly realized they did not plan to examine me, nor do any ultrasound. I left frustrated with no answers to my pregnancy and felt rushed to get out.
I was told one of my favorite doctors left to start her own practice so at my next appointment, 10 weeks, I switched to the new doctor practice just to get that one on one approach I was looking for.
I went into this appointment expecting an ultrasound and to hear the heartbeat but all I got was an std test!! Frigging kidding me?!?!
So I asked my doctor if I would be getting an ultrasound soon, her answer was you need to schedule one at another office 30 mins from this current office in 2 to 3 weeks. Mind you I already drive 45 minutes just to see this doctor!
Another note that scared me is she recommended that I quit taking my prenatals for the next month and we will continue in a month... I think her concern was that I've lost 9lbs but I needed to lose the weight anyway. Has anyone have a doctor make them stop taking prenatal vitamins?
So I'm now over here lost and confused. I want a doctor who wants to make sure my baby is 100% healthy no matter what, and that they are willing to check at every appointment. Otherwise what is the point of going to your monthly doctor visits?
Anyone live in Central Ohio and have doctor recommendations?
