I think my S/o of 6 months is cheating on me. But I don't want to be that girl to go through his phone and everything. The reason I think this is I got some messages from a chick the other day claiming he was and sending me screenshots of messages that look like they are from his number. I don't want to make irrational decisions and end up just getting hurt worse or hurting someone else... what can I do?

If she showed you proof then I'd say you have a pretty good reason to suspectsomething is going on. Sit him down and ask him about who that girl is (before mentioning she contacted you or showed you proof). If he says he doesn't know, tell him you've spoken to her - see if his tone changes. If he still denies it, tell him you have screenshots and then show them to him. If he still denies it, ask to see his phone just to be sure that these screenshots are false. If he refuses then I'd say you've got a cheater on your hands. You can't give him a chance to delete the proof first, if it's true and the proof is still on his phone, and you don't want to show him your entire hand at first. You want to give him more than one opportunity to come clean. That way if you find out it's true, he can't say that he didn't have ample chances to own up to it.
