So when we argue he goes 3 to 4 hours without speaking to me. I'm the one who always calls back to try to fix things, should I stop that and see if he's going to try?

I don't think there's anything wrong with being the person to reach out and initiate contact again. Unless he's done something that requires a very sincere apology and serious discussion - in which case I definitely think it's his job to suck up his pride and initiate contact and attempt to make amends.

I'm usually the one who talks first in the midst of silence during arguments. I don't mind it. All I want is to get our relationship back on track.

Yes, give him space. For one, no one person in a relationship is always right, so I am positive that he must be wrong sometimes. If he is wrong, let him be the one to fix it. And even sometimes if he isn't wrong, it can't hurt to extend a little bit of compassion and be mature enough to continue showing love to someone even if you had a disagreement. I feel like never being the one to try to fix things is sort of a control tactic because if he's not trying to fix it, he knows you're going to and you'll probably admit you're wrong too even if you're not.
