confused !!

So I had spotting for about 5 days. It started 4 days before my period was supposed to start. It was dark brown and light pink. My period was supposed to start on 2/13 but this morning on 2/16 I took a negitive pregnancy test. Should I test again soon if my period doesn't start or should I count the weird spotting as a period ? It was super light and only when I wiped. I need advice. Thanks !
