3 months after vaginal delivery because I bled for 8 weeks and I got 16 stitches

I've already said to my partner that we'd be sticking to handjobs and oral until I was fully healed. I've got to have an elective c-section and have heard mixed things; someone told me as soon as the scar is healed, you're good to go, someone else told me 3-6 months, which I though was ridiculous :S

After my hip replacement, we were having sex at 4 weeks, and I can't imagine a healed belly scar hurting more than a complete joint replacement that had its own set of complications. (I was 29)

Wow! No way was my body ready at 4 weeks! My body wasn't even ready at 6. I was still bleeding. At around 8 I think is when we did and I wouldn't even call it sex. More of a "lets see how this works" thing. 
Everyone is different but you need to wait to be cleared by your doc. My doc cleared me for birth control at 6 weeks.

Nahhhh you've probably healed well if you're feeling fine.  I didn't have any problems.

You need to wait until your Dr says okay. Mine told me to wait till after my 6 week appt. I had stitches with my first and it was still sore.

Depends how you feel, the last pregnancy was vaginal w/ stitches, but I felt better and was back at it in 2 weeks.

My first was vaginal. We waited about 4 weeks. My second was c section so as soon as the bleeding was over (about two weeks) was ok for me.

Six weeks. Cramped pretty bad afterwards, but no lasting effects.
