So my doctor just called with my lab results. Everything is great except I tested psitive for "group b strep." Google said there's a chance it could get passed to my baby IF I'm high-risk which I'm not. But from what I understand the antibiotics are administered to me during labor. The nurse also told me that my body could naturally get rid of it on its own but it makes me nervous knowing I could potentially have a bacterial infection for the remainder of my pregnancy. For those of you wondering that's all group b strep is classified as is a bacterial infection. It has nothing to do with stds or hygiene. Has anyone tested positive and if so what was your way of going about it? I'm so very nervous about the impact it could have on my baby!!
