hey ladies what is an A/R clerk ?

Account Receivable clerk ... this new job pays 32.15 my husband will be working 80 hours every 2 weeks as an A/R clerk can someone explain that position please he doesn't know wen I ask him .. and it's for a trucking company

He's going to handle billing customers and receiving payments. They may assign him other accounting related duties.

AR usually handles the money coming in. AP usually handles the money going out. Some companies cross train so everyone knows what to do if a situation should arise and they need to do it. I went in for a company as a temporary relief worker and ended up doing little bits of everyone's job. It was a great learning experience. At my next job accounting wasn't even part of my job description, but they saw I had experience and had me help the accounting department as well.
