Long distance love?

A little back information: I met a guy 3 years ago when we were 15 and 16 on tinder while he was visiting family in my state. We had a little long distance relationship that ended when I met another guy here. Now, we've started talking again and it's like no time passed at all. We constantly text and FaceTime each other. I am planning a trip next month to drive the 8 hours and visit him. We are both much more mature and vibe well together so I'm wondering what you ladies think about long distance relationships? And specifically, if you can love someone without ever meeting them face to face?
