Why do I look smaller

I'm 36 weeks and I look smaller today then yesterday I been having horrible back and stomach  cramping so idk whats up whay do u think

Baby might've dropped and engaged in the birth canal at 36 weeks. It's common once you drop to appear and actually measure slightly smaller because of baby's new position.

It just looks like baby changed positions! Looks like maybe yesterday his bottom or something was up above your belly button and maybe he repositioned.
Maybe getting in the right position for when labor comes.
