Breastfeeding while trying to convceive?

My husband and I are trying to have a second baby, but I am still exclusively breastfeeding my 6 month old. I have heard that exclusively breastfeeding makes it harder to conceive. So I'm just curious if this has proven true for anyone or if it's just a myth. Any tips or insight on conceiving while breastfeeding exclusively would be much appreciated!

A friend who is a nurse said you can definitely get pregnant breastfeeding and my sister got pregnant 2xs while breastfeeding

I am going to assume that you have already gotten your period back. I am still breastfeeding my daughter and am 17 weeks pregnant today. I did not get my period back until my daughter was 18 months and only had three cycles before conceiving. It is very possible to become pregnant.

We started trying when my baby was 6 months...i didn't g e t my cycle back until he was 10 months. That made it hard....just guessing  really...we used opks but i mightnot have been ovulating. He is 11 months now...hopefully it will be our month
