melatonin during pregnancy???

Okay, so I am 14 weeks pregnant....I have been taking melatonin for over a month....just went and purchased another bottle and went to take mine for the night and just wanted to read the label....it says it's unsafe for pregnancy???????????? Have I harmed my baby?????????? Should I call my doctor tomorrow????? This is my 2nd child....I'm so worried😞

Discontinue using it and talk to your doctor. Your baby is most likely fine, just don't use it anymore during this pregnancy

I take it every now and then and my daughter takes the gummies sometimes. I asked my doc with this pregnancy if it's safe and she said yes. Our bodies naturally produce it :)

Unisom, or zquil is safe during pregnancy. Its diphenhydramine which essentially is benadryl.

I wouldn't add any supplements to my diet without talking to the doc first. Most likely fine but def worth checking.

I just asked the pharmacist bc i am having such a hard time sleeping . She said no to the melatonin but did suggest unisom tablets !

I would think melatonin would be a better option since it's a natural supplement but I'd still talk to my OB at my next appt and just lay off of them till then 😊

Melatonin and oxytocin together help start labor so maybe the risk is putting you into early labor? Definitely ask your ob though!
