Engagement ring stuck on finger
Ladies,
I'm 30+3 weeks pregnant and have got really bad swollen fingers.
My midwife told me that I should take my engagement ring and promise rings off until the birth of my son.
Last weekend my fiancée helped take off my promise ring with some dental floss.
It stung so much and took forever but it eventually came off!
My fiancée proposed to me on my birthday back in November last year so I haven't had my engagement ring for very long at all.
Last night we tried everything to get my ring off. We tried ice and cold water to make the swelling go down, we tried lube and oil to make it slippery and we used the dental floss method again to see if it could come off.
It took well over an hour until it became stuck on my knuckle and wouldn't move up or down at all.
It went very purple and I started loosing circulation to my finger very fast so we had to use ice cold water again to try and pull it off but had no luck and not just managed to get it back down onto my finger where it was before. My mum said I should go to the hospital and get it cut off as there is no way it is going to come off at all!
We didn't get any insurance with my ring to cover damage but it isn't even a year old yet.
Do you think the jewellers would repair it if I had to get it cut off or do you think they would replace it?
I really don't want to cut it off as it was very expensive and means so much to me😓
