can you paint while pregnant?

I need to paint a room and I wasn't sure if I can be around all the fumes? Any thoughts ?

you will be fine aslong as you use just water based paints no solvent  based paints and no climbing ladders ....with my first child i was actually at college doing a painting and decorating course and was allowed to do carry on just wernt allowed to use gloss or solvents and went on and passed the course ...(  i done the practical solvents side of it after i had my baby) also keep windows open a bit especially if you feel woozy but if it is waterbased paints then you shouldnt get woozy but keep door closed and window slightly open to vent the room only a small bit so it dont make place cold (if its a cold night) when finished painting for the day :)

Yes but I'd recommend getting a painters mask and make sure to try to air out the room as best you can.  You can get one for cheap at like home depot. And please make sure to get the correct filters. A medical mask does NOT filter chemical fumes. I did a ton of painting while preggo.

I did. Just make sure the room is ventilated well. If you can, do it on a nice day so you can open the window.

Painting with Low VOC paints or no VOC paint is best. Well ventilated space. You should be fine.
