Emergency c-section after getting an epidural and trying to deliver. Babies heart rate was dropping when I pushed 😔 so scary, but we're both healthy !

My first two I had one. My last baby I didn't have time to get one. That labor was seriously like 4 hours long from the time I woke up with small cramps to the time I walked into the hospital I was holding my son 20 minutes later. I kind of walked in got into the bed and pushed. Didn't have time for anything else. I will say this tho I will never have an epidural ever again. With my 4th I'm going all natural again. The pain is not bad if you breath through it. And once the baby is out the pain is all over and you're able to walk. With the epidural you're not allowed to walk. You physically can't walk. And I feel the shot in your back is worse than the actual labor pains.

According to my OB, epidurals do increase the possibility of needing to use forceps or the auction thing but do not increase the risk of needing a csection (as compared to not epidural).
I had a vaginal birth with my first with epidural but I needed an episiotomy due to his large head and because he pooped so they needed him out quick (probably would've needed that even without the epi though)

I was induced with both my boys (my water never broke and i literally never dialted or effaced at all). So i had to have meds to start me dialating and effacing prior to pitocin to start contractions and having the drs break my water for me. But once i got my epidural ot was so much faster and relaxing. I will be having an epidural every time! With my first i had a 3rd degree tear and had to have stiches because his head was so big. But with my second son no tearing at all. With my first i pushed for 33 mins and pushed for 10 mins with my second (literally 2.5 pushes lol) hopefully it will be just as smooth this time around.

I had an epidural with my son and honestly I wish I wouldn't have. I ended up pushing for 3 1/2 hours and then needing a c section. They turned the epidural off halfway through pushing because I couldn't feel good enough to push. So it was kind of pointless to get one in the first place. I ended up needing a c section because his head was stuck and his heart rate started to drop. I sometimes wonder if things would have gone better if I never would have gotten one.

Got it at 8cm with my first and had her vaginally no tears and got it at 7cm with my second and had her vaginally too no tears!
