I had never had a sex toy prior to my fiancé and I getting one together. So I don't see the point in using a sex toy if he was uncomfortable with it. My hands have done me just fine.

I had never used a sex toy until I was with my husband. I thought they were silly, but he encouraged me to try it, we went and picked some out, and I ended up really liking them. If he hadn't suggested it, I might never have tried them. But to answer the question, I think it's ridiculous to try to dictate how your spouse is allowed to please themselves.
