It's been about 2 weeks since my little guy was born so I've decided I'll share my story.
I went in on the 8th for a regular check up and my bp was extremely high (I had preeclampsia and GD) so he sent me to the hospital to be monitored. He told me he was debating on inducing me so we'd have to check the babies size and he'd make his decision.
Baby was showing to be around 9lbs 9oz and measuring 41weeks (I was only 36w&4d) so we made the decision to induce the next morning.
Thursday the 9th at 10:30 I was dilated to a 1 and they started me on pitocin. My contractions were every 2 minutes but I was dilating slow so at 2 cm (3 hours later) he broke my water.
I hadn't been feeling the contractions but when he broke the water it was instant pain. They went ahead and gave me an epidural at 2 cm and it only stuck on the left side.
At about 10 pm I was dilated to a 6 and was able to push the button for another dose of the epidural which worked on both sides thankfully.
The doctor left at about 2am and I was dilated to a 10 so they told me they'd let me lay there to make sure he drops far enough before they call him back.
The doctor came back at 3:50ish and told me to start pushing. It only took 20 minutes and my little chunker was here ❤️ 10lbs 5oz and 22in long born 2/10 at 4:11am.
I had a 4th degree tear and it took longer for him to stitch me up than it took for me to push 😅
