Dr's appointments after gestational diabetes diagnosis
I have been diagnosed with gestational diabetes for a week and a half now and i take insulin twice a day morning and night. My fasting overnight levels are the numbers I'm unable to control. With that being said today my dr has scheduled me for NST (non stress tests) twice a week and a BPP (biophysical profile) ultrasound once a week on top of my weekly OB visits.
I asked and she said it was just to make sure everything is good with our baby but it just seems like a lot to me.
I am currently 34 weeks and 4 days and they are going to induce me between 37 and 38 weeks.
Is this routine or is there some other reason. I know they wouldn't flat out lie to me but I'm just curious.
