C-section birth story (sorry it's super long)

I just wanted to share my birth story it's so simple. So I was 40 weeks and 5 days when I had my planned C-section because my doctor told me that my pelvis was too small that my baby wouldn't fit. I also was not dilated at all my baby had not dropped any. He said I could attempt vaginal birth but i might just labor all day and end up having to have a c-section anyways. He gave me a choice and I went with the scheduled c-section because I felt that my body wouldn't be able to push my baby out vaginaly I had this feeling even before talking to him my husband was super supportive of whatever I wanted to do. So the night before I was instructed not to eat or drink past midnight which was so hard being that pregnant!! Also to shower before bed and again before going to the hospital. So I couldn't sleep at all the night before maybe an hour of sleep total is what I got so I showered at 4:00am then made sure I had everything I needed in my hospital bag  we left to the hospital around 4:45 we needed to be there at 5am so we checked in they took us to the room hooked me up to IVs and told me they would come get me at 6:50am so we chilled and watched Tv till then the doctors walked us to the doors where we would be entering and went over everything that would happen but I had to wait for my doctor to show up which was forver because he forgot about me!!! He finally showed up and they took me back they numbed me layed me down started the procedure and then brought my husband in to hold my hand I was so anxious I didn't know what was going on so I started crying I felt the doctors pushing on me but no pain it took a couple of them to get my baby out they even had to vaccun his head out he was in there good! They showed him to me finally and then went to clean him off and weight him my husband went to take pictures then they set him on my chest it was so surreal there he was laying on my chest. 7lbs 14oz of pure perfection. When they were done stitching me up they wheeled me my baby and my husband to recovery room there is where I breastfed him for the first time and had skin to skin time. mind you I barely remember any of this due to the drugs! Lol then they wheeled us to our room where our families were waiting to see our beautiful baby. I was SO exhausted though I couldn't even enjoy the company I had no sleep the night before just had surgery and was in pain meds that made me sleepy too. I was itchy due to the medicine and nauseous I was on a liquid only diet but couldn't hold down the water or apple juice I was drinking. My husband was such a huge help he changed my son comforted him when he cried woke up to take him out the bassinet and give him to me because it wasn't easy for me to just get up. I stayed in the hospital Wednesday through Saturday morning my first day home I cried because my milk had just came in I didn't know what to do my boobs were leaking and hurting my nipples were cracked and scabbed my scar was leaking yellow fluid non stop (the top layer of my skin was open so it would bleed and leak till it closed it wasn't infected) and my mom didn't pick up my pain pills in time so I had to wait till the next day and i was in so much pain from my scar to my back and hips and I didn't have any comfortable panties or shorts so I wore my husbands underwear lol and I was so scared to wear a regular pad and I was exhausted I was so overwhelmed my husband comforted me and told me I was doing great and how proud of me he was he just made me feel so much better. My son is now 11 weeks old and things have gotten so much better! Don't give up mommies!
