Did you decide to go with a doctor or a midwife?

I would have been open to using a midwife, but my OB office only has OBs doing deliveries. I see an NP for my yearly exams though, and I love her.

I went to a Doc but I really would have loved a midwife. My mom delivered me with one.

Doctor all the way. Everyone I know who went with a midwife said they were totally pushy, over opinionated, and would compleatly brush off their feelings or wishes because of the "amount of experience" they had.

Thanks for the responses, everyone! I think I've decided to stick with a doctor for this pregnancy, just in case of complications. This is #1 for me, so no idea about anything that may arise.

I'm UK and I saw a health visitor for monthly check ups and then hospital Check ups/scans were a different midwife each time.

My labour was with a midwife I'd never met before. Didn't bother me as I thought it would, through labour (3 days in hospital) I saw comfort in the midwives that came infor their shifts but when it came to being moved into the labour ward and being given another midwife I honestly didn't mind as long as my son was out 😂🙈

I'm in the U.K, and I was consultant led.

I'm in England so we get a midwife anyway and I have antenatal visits with a doctor
