After the worlds longest (ok not longest) but definitely after a hard and tiresome pregnancy Im not the least bit sad it's over. Between nausea the whole time and constant heartburn with a mix of frequent constipation I was done.

So when I hit 37 weeks I started begging Dr for some kind of relief. She all but laughed at the thought of induction. At 38 I asked again and she gave me a membrane sweep. 39 weeks rolled around and I was done, but Dr still had faith. I had a stomach full of acid and a baby that wouldn't drop. 40 weeks and I was a crying, sobbing mess of pregnant frustration. Dr finally FINALLY gave in and on Feb 22 I was giving induction papers.

2 days later it began.

Had to be at hospital at 4:30 am.

Got in and checked. 2cm and 50% effaced. At 5 Pitocin started. 5:30 it got increased. Was having small contractions, but not really painful. 6-8 am Pitocin was increased. Not really feeling that many contractions. Finally around 9 we hit the magic number and I started to dilate. Was a 4 at 9:30. Offered a epidural which I accepted because Im a pain wimp. Still having mild very mild contractions at this point. By 10 am epidural is in and I crash. I sleep until 12pm. Checked again and Im a 9. Dr has me lay on side for an hour to finish cervix. By 1 Im ready. 1:26 I start to push. 3 pushes and baby was born at 1:27pm. Welcome to the world Natalie Grace 8lbs 8oz
