No movement at 18 weeks!?

At my 10 week scan I was told by a private ultrasound tech that my placenta was posterior, and that I should feel movement nice and early. I MAY have felt something the other day, but other than that - nothing!! Is this right? Or Is it possible the placenta has moved?

Placenta could have moved but also many women don't start feeling baby until after 20 weeks, especially if it's a first pregnancy.

Normal time to feel movement is between 18-22 weeks. Baby can change positions all sorts of things as to why you most likely are not feeling them. I felt my son early 16 weeks and didn't feel him for a little bit it would go in spurts. I didn't consistently feel him till about 20 weeks and even now he still has lazy days.

To correct a previous poster, yes the placenta does move. That is why some people are diagnosed with placenta previa, and their doctors hope that over time the placenta will move away from the cervix. Mine did move. A lot of people don't feel movement prior to 18 weeks, so it may just be early and the doctor or technician who told you you would feel movement by now, gave you info that hasn't been true for you.

It doesn't move. And you may just have a lazy baby lol you don't have to do kick counts till 28 weeks so nothing to worry about until then!
