Is it okay to hand express during pregnancy? I'm almost 30 weeks and the soreness sucks. My boobs leak, feel bruised, and sometimes have a burning/tingling sensation. I do have an irritable uterus (so I do have non labor inducing contractions), but have had no signs of premature labor. Not high risk. Cervical length was great, no dilation. Ive expressed some for relief, but did not save. I will talk with my doctor of course, before doing anything further. Are there benefits to having a little extra colostrum stored before the baby comes?
