Any of you mommys know what works for an itchy belly but also prevents stretch marks ?

As my belly is starting to grow it itches like crazy !! my friend told me not to scratch though because it can cause more noticable stretch marks. idk if this is something true or not but still .. any help ??

My husband always said that to me too, that if I scratched I would cause more stretch marks. I scratched like mad and never really got any stretch marks tho. I always just moisturized real good with Vaseline cocoa butter moisturizer.

Not too many frequent showers, when you do shower no hot/warm water bc you will strip ALL of your natural oils & buy the cocoa butter in shower lotion from Nivea (instructions give details on how to use it)

Try not to wear underwear if you're in the house; also wear loose clothing

Do NOT scratch, no matter what

Do not wear a bra if you're in the house either, (breasts get smarks too)

Bio oil if you remember doesn't have to be 24/7 long as you're following the other rules above that can be a little extra step that's optional

Do not eat all day long bc of anxiety or boredom just eat when you're hungry only

& last but not least, the one we tend to do less bc at least I myself hate it but I still do it 
DRINK WATER all day every day

I don't think there is anything you can do to prevent stretch marks, but I wouldn't be surprised if irritating ones that you were already going to get would make them worse.  I use Mama Bee Belly Butter as a daily moisturizer, I'm only 19w3d so no stretch marks yet, but it has helped with the itching.

I itched like crazy. I used st Ives elastic collagen lotion. The kind with the bright blue color on the bottom.

I use SebaMed Lotion and Coconut oil.
 
Won't prevent stretch marks, but keeps your skin moisturized so you are more comfortable and helps them fade afterwards.

Scratching won't give you more but it could make it worse because A stretch mark is an injury to skin you don't want to irritate it more and cause more damage. When I'm itchy/ trying to prevent marks I use a body oil first then a body butter the oil first helps the body butter soak deeper into the skin so far I've only gotten marks on my hips and I'm fine with that! Lol
