Had my baby girl on 02-01-2017.

Hi ladies
It's been almost a month I delivered my baby girl and finally now I am able to share my birth story. This is my second girl I already have a 20 month old girl.
My due date was 02-09-2017. But I was hoping that she would come on February 1st as my husband and I got engaged on that day 7 years ago. I started having mild contractions on 31st Jan at around 3 in the morning. They were really mild and 15 mins apart. On February 1st in morning I had my 39 weeks appointment so my husband and I went to the doctors and I was 3 cm dilated. I told my doctor about my contractions and she said that it might go on for a week or you might deliver today. I went home and hubby went to work. I did some cleaning at home, spent some time with my 20 month old, had lunch and put her for afternoon nap and I continued with my other household chores. My contractions were around 7-10 mins apart but they were not really painful. Then around 3 they started to get intense. It they lasted for 45-50 secs . I realized that it's baby time today and I called my husband and let him know.
I wanted to do natural(my first labor was also natural) so I was trying to do labor at home as much as possible. Hubby came home by 4 and he did some last minute packing. Luckily my mom was there so we didn't have to worry about our first daughter.
Meanwhile I was relaxing on the couch, walking around the house and spending time with my daughter. It was really emotional this time as I was constantly worried how it would be to have a newborn with already a 20 month old. Toddler. Then at around 5 I felt that I am ready to push and the contractions were also 4-5 mins apart and really painful. Hubby called the doctor who said we should get to the hospital and that she would inform the nurses at the hospital that we are coming over.We left for the hospital which was around 15 mins from the house and I was in tremendous pain in the car. But somewhere I knew that I am done with the labor and all I have to do is push a few times and my baby girl would be in my arms. We reached the hospital at 5:20 and the nurses knew about me and they immediately rushed me to labor room. I said that I am ready to push and one of the nurses checked me and said hell you are right you are ready to deliver. My water broke while the nurse checked me. The pain was tremendous but as the epidural was skipped  pushing was effective and fast.5:35 my baby girl was out and it was the biggest relief I have ever experienced. I ended up with a second degree test but recovery has been smooth and quick.. the more painful  and uncomfortable part was when the doctor delivered placenta.
It's been almost a month recovery is really easy and smooth. Yes there are sleepless nights and no rest this time as I look after my toddler when the newborn is sleeping during the day. I haven't slept more than 3 hours in the night since feb 1st and I do have body aches and I get really tired but I have no complaints. This is what I wanted and I know this is just a phase. Nothing gives me joy than watching my girls healthy and growing. I also consider myself luck with the labor part as they are short and easy. You can ready my first birth story in my profile.
So all you ladies expecting their 1st, 2nd etc. enjoy your pregnancy but fun part starts when you haveyour baby. It's such a roller coaster but it's amazing. It is also amazing how we women are so strong mentally, physically and we are living proofs on how little sleep we can survive on. So be proud of yourself and do what is the best for your baby/babies and don't let anybody tell you otherwise
